What drives me

Complex SAP landscapes need more than technical solutions. They need clear decisions, sound architecture and governance that works in everyday practice.

With DR Consulting, I stand for technical depth, structured thinking and independent advisory where SAP decisions have long-term consequences.

Good architecture makes complexity manageable.

About me

David Riederich – SAP Architecture & Clean Core Advisory

I combine experience in development, consulting and architecture – and therefore approach SAP landscapes holistically: functionally, technically and operationally.

My path into IT began in 2009 in an SAP-related environment. Early on, I worked with SAP technologies, ABAP and complex system structures – initially in technical roles, later increasingly close to consulting and architecture.

Since 2020, I have worked as an external SAP consultant with a focus on Sourcing & Procurement, solution design, change processes and S/4HANA readiness. Much of my work has taken place in enterprise-wide multi-client landscapes – environments where process, integration and architecture decisions have long-term consequences.

Today, my focus is on SAP Governance, Clean Core, S/4HANA, SAP BTP, integration architecture and the long-term manageability of complex SAP landscapes.

Structure decisions. Reduce complexity. Keep systems manageable.
For an initial professional exchange, I look forward to hearing from you.

Guiding principle & attitude

I help companies structure decisions in a way that keeps change manageable – across the system, the organization and the architecture.

  • Clarity over complexity: Decisions based on transparency, not gut feeling.
  • Structure as a tool: Governance and architecture as means of enabling action, not as ends in themselves.
  • Sustainability through discipline: Clean Core as lived practice, not as a buzzword.
Companies should understand their systems before they change them.

How I think

In the insights, I describe observations, mental models and practical patterns from real-world SAP work.
